Mr. Gary Sullivan of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Marg Sullivan, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the age of 64 years.
Gary was born on June 13, 1952 in Montreal to Andrew and Helen Sullivan. Gary and Marg married on February 12, 1977 and moved to Lethbridge shortly after. Gary began working with Richardson Oilseed (Canbra Foods) as a purchaser. Though he was hardworking and enjoyed his career, it was family that mattered to him most. It was the visits from his sons and grandson that kept Gary smiling.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marg; sons, Nick (Megan) and Josh; grandson, Declan; mother, Helen; brother, Doug (Holly); and by his nephews, niece and cousins.
Gary was predeceased by his father, Andrew and brother, Brian.
Those who knew Gary were familiar with his quick wit, keen sense of humour and knack for the perfect pun. He thrived on good company, good food, good music and keeping in touch with everyone in his family. Although those who were close to him miss him dearly, we know that his suffering has ended and that he is resting in peace.
Gary’s family would like to thank the doctors in Lethbridge and Calgary, the staff and care providers at the Lethbridge Dialysis Unit and the Jack Ady Cancer Centre for their care and support during his many years of illness. Additionally, we extend a thank you to the home care staff and nurses for their ongoing compassion and care over the past few years.
A Celebration of Gary’s Life and reception will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. A private family inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery following the service.
