Berendina Van hell
Mrs. Berendina “Diny” Van Hell of Picture Butte passed away in Lethbridge on May 12, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Diny was born in Barneveld, Holland on June 5, 1927. She worked as a nurse before immigrating to Canada in 1962. She settled in Brandon, Manitoba with her sister and her family. She then moved to Picture Butte when she married Steve in 1963, and became mother to four children and together they had another four sons. Steve and Diny celebrated 50 years of marriage in December 2013. Together they raised their ever growing family and in later years looked forward to spending time with them, always taking a genuine interest in what everyone was doing. The door was always open for family and friends to visit. Her indoor plants and outdoor gardens brought her hours of pleasure, she had a real green thumb. They enjoyed travelling to many parts of North America and around the world, making many trips back to Holland as well. She had a strong faith, a constant smile and a ready laugh.
