Dear Joe, Barbara, Justin and Lavorato Families: We are all so very sorry to learn that your dear Mother and our dearest friend Maria has passed away. Please know that our love and prayers are with your family. Maria was a wonderful, kind and loving woman, brave and strong, and loved by family and friends very much. We shall remember Maria always, and indeed we too have so many wonderful shared memories together. I remember your family and in particular your Father and Mother visiting us in Toronto when I was a child, and enjoyed sitting beside them as they recounted the many true stories of their childhood in Piane Crati. I can honestly say that your parents brought joy and laughter and love to everyone. My Mother, as you all know, in particular shares a special bond with her dearest friend Maria that will last forever. Theirs is that very special childhood bond which can never be broken not even in death. Everyday we will pray for those in our lives that have gone to the Lord before us. With their teachings and Godís guidance we shall help one another to find strength, dignity, and respect to carry on and to continue to "fight the good fight" as God intended with love. Protected always by our Savour Jesus and our patron saint Santa Barbara, we too join and stand together for Maria and to comfort her family. We will always love your Mother, Maria was the best. Mom and I send to you a special loving kiss Maria, until we meet again, God bless you always Maria and "God grant us all strength and courage". With deepest sympathy and fond remembrance, Barbara and Giuseppe Turco.
