Lottie Austin

George, Katherine, Jeremy and the extended Austin-Evelyn family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on Lottie’s passing. She was a wonderful friend and accompanist to me when we were at Mt. A. Tonight, while I viewed the beautiful celebration of her life, I learned that Lottie clearly lived all her days in gratitude and joy. May each of you be comforted by and upheld with the strength that Lottie has gifted you. Most sincerely,
Stella (Pack) Callighen

To our Evelyn and Austin Families, Our hearts are aching at the loss of our dear cousin, Lottie. We were blessed to know Lottie throughout our youth. Our families adopted each other early on. This was no accident, as our parents (Henry & Kay, Norman & Kaye) engraved this Austin Family Stamp on us all. We took turns travelling from Amherst to Natick (MA, USA) during multiple summers, knitting our lives into lifelong family ties. What a blessing!! Lottie was tenderhearted, compassionate and full of life. She leaves us with such a Godly measure of grace to follow. With God's comfort for you all, Marylou, Debbie, Hedley and our families P.S. 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4

I am very privileged to have met Lottie and very saddened to hear of her death. She was remarkable. Wonderfully graceful in all ways. And with that underlying steely strength that always blew me away. My condolences to George and to all their family.

Dear George and family, I can't help but think of the wonderful few days which we spent in New York and going to the opera and Yankee Stadium to watch baseball. What fun -- I remember that it was Yogi Berra's birthday and they brought him out to centre field to sing "Happy Birthday" - I think it was his 80th!!! I knew Lottie loved music as you both did and hopefully that memory of your joint interest will be of some comfort to you all in your loss. You both were special people and I will cherish the fun of those few days in New York and how in deep do-do I was because I skipped a research meeting to go to the baseball meeting--- if given the chance, I would do it again Love to you all....
