November 23, 1914 - September 18th, 2015 Frances Luttrell passed away peacefully in her sleep in her 101st year. A wonderful, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great -Grandmother, Sister and Aunt.
Fran was predeceased by her adoring husband of 56 years, Ross (1990) and her son Gary (2010) and her sister Tess Munson (2000). She leaves behind her daughter Martha of Aspen, Colorado, her Grandchildren Wendy, Heather and Peter and his wife Dr. Stephanie White and Great Grandchildren Haley, Taylor and Lucas all of Los Angeles, California and niece Tonia Moomaw , Donald, Kelly and grand nephew Taylor Atkins of Laguna Beach California.
Fran grew up in Vancouver and for a brief time in Italy. She and Ross were long time residents of Kerrisdale and they loved to dance, play golf and bridge. Fran was an avid painter and very creative her entire life. She was a member of McCleery Golf Club and played bridge at Brock House. Frances became a realtor at 55 and worked into her 70s. She and Ross loved being Snowbirds at Palm Desert Greens where they had great fun and many friends. She treasured her family and her close Vancouver friends Laurie & David Triggs, Anne Goodbrand, Marne Goodbrand & Kevin LaPlante, Pauline Walsh and Keirstead Farris & Josie.
We would like to thank the entire staff at Amica at Arbutus Manor for their care and kindness and for making her last years so full of joy and adventure. And to her dear friends and table mates whom she cherished, Mary Louis, Betty, Cecile, Elaine, and Kay.
Fran will be remembered as a feisty, loyal, fun-loving woman with an enormous heart. In her final years her huge personality remained, be it dancing with an Elvis impersonator on her 99th birthday, or sipping champagne and gleefully holding court on her 100th.
My life has passed
Goodbye my family
I loved you all to the very last
Weep not for me
But courage take
Love each other for my sake
For those people you love
Don't go away
They walk beside you every day
