Helen grew up and graduated in Salmo, BC. She was bright, determined, and loved to work and play in the outdoors. Married at 19 years old, they started a  family almost immediately and lived primarily in the Terrace/ Kitimat area with a two year period in Prince George, BC. Helen  worked in Terrace at Mills Memorial and also became a Real Estate Agent for Royal LePage. In the late 1970s, Helen relocated to the lower Mainland where she changed from real estate to work for Douglas College until her retirement in 1993.

Her retirement adventures began with trips to Alaska, Cuba and Mexico. But wilderness exploring and camping in BC was best of all, where she would cultivate mini gardens around the campsite while enjoying the outdoors.

Mom was very passionate about keeping wild campsites free of garbage and would be grateful if everyone could leave their sites free of garbage when returning from recreating in the wilderness.

She lived the life she wanted, was much loved and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Mom. No public services will be held. A celebration of life will take place later this summer with immediate family.
