Alan Parker

Although Alan and I worked in the same area for many years I never really had much direct working contact with him but I distinctly recall lunchtime meetings with Alan when we both joined the old-timers table at lunch. Alan talked about his projects such as replacing fuel tanks for the third time at diesel generating stations as the requirements were ratcheted up over time, struggling with very high pressure hydrogen fuel storage tank design for the hydrogen highway and of course his genealogy passion. Alan will be remembered as a gentleman.

We are so very sorry for the loss of dear Alan. He was such a sweet soft spoken gentleman who we were always happy to see and chat with. Please know that if you ever need a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen or just somewhere to go to not think for a while that Peter and I are here for you. May Alans memory be eternal in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Peter and Kathy xoxo

Alan was an Electrical Engineer's Mechanical Engineer - I learned a few things from Alan. I am sorry to hear of his untimely passing. Alan is still mentioned at work and as recently as last week I pulled the "IPEC" screwdriver I inherited when I took over his desk in 98 when I was transferred into the Apparatus Maintenance Dept. - and we reminisced about Alan - not knowing how timely that was. Dear Susan and family, I am terribly sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Although we had never met he was very helpful to me with my genealogical research. He often would make a trip to the library for me in search of newspaper articles or obituaries in the Vancouver area. My deepest condolences to all of you. Sincerely, Janet Monk
